Glagah Beach offers complete natural beach tourism. It has not only an exotic beach panorama, but also a beautiful lagoon and provides unique agro tourism. The brownish sand beach spreads out along the shoreline. The open seashore, combined with the absent of coral hindrance made it free to look around every direction of this exotic landscape. To look ahead, the horizon line longwise between the sky and the sea. To the west and east direction, the beauty of seashore curve spoils the eyes.

There are several alternative locations to see the beach panorama. A location near the retribution post, namely Dermaga Wisata, is one of the alternative locations where the meeting of river flows and sea waves can be seen from the guardhouse. Hundreds meters to the west is the location of the lagoon. The lagoon makes Glagah Beach interesting because it is rarely found in other beaches in Indonesia. The lagoon divides Glagah Beach area in two parts: a location which is planted by the beach plants and weeds, and a location of sand bars that border on the sea directly. The sand bars location can be crossed through a connector road which is located not far from the mouth of the river.

Parangtritis Beach is the most popular beach in Yogyakarta City. The location of this beach is at Bantul Regency, around 30 km distance from Yogyakarta City. It is believed that Parangtritis Beach has a mystic relation with Kraton Yogyakarta, Parangkusumo Beach and Merapi Mountain area. The citizenries believed that Parangtritis Beach belong to Ratu Kidul’s authority.

Parangtritis Beach has natural beauty of sea and sand dunes. There’re a lot of sand dunes that are called as “gumuk” by the local citizenries. The strong wind blows at certain seasons makes Parangtritis Beach is suitable place for the kite festival.

A number of tour experiences can be enjoyed at Parangtritis Beach. The seashore reveals a naturally charming open sea panorama, along with the splashing waves and the high canyons at the east side. The visitors can simply walk along the seashore to enjoy the panorama, or they can rent the horse-drawn buggies (bendi). The beach can also be cruised by riding the horses.

The visitors can also visit the Langse Cave to enjoy the challenging experience. They have to walk throughout 3 km distance to reach the cave.  Before reaching the cave, they have to pass by a 400 meters high- and nearly 900 slope- canyon. At the path toward Langse Cave, another exotic beauty of Parangtritis can be seen. Rolls of big waves that reach the sunlit shore appear to be silvery.  When the sky is reddening at the twilight, their colour turns into golden.

Beside the satisfaction of enjoying the landscape, the visitors can enjoy the different tour experience by visiting historical places around Parangtritis Beach, such as Syekh Bela Belu’s tomb. The tomb is laid on the road toward the beach. There’s staircase connecting the road with the hill where this sacred tomb is laid on.
