Glagah Beach offers complete natural beach tourism. It has not only an exotic beach panorama, but also a beautiful lagoon and provides unique agro tourism. The brownish sand beach spreads out along the shoreline. The open seashore, combined with the absent of coral hindrance made it free to look around every direction of this exotic landscape. To look ahead, the horizon line longwise between the sky and the sea. To the west and east direction, the beauty of seashore curve spoils the eyes.

There are several alternative locations to see the beach panorama. A location near the retribution post, namely Dermaga Wisata, is one of the alternative locations where the meeting of river flows and sea waves can be seen from the guardhouse. Hundreds meters to the west is the location of the lagoon. The lagoon makes Glagah Beach interesting because it is rarely found in other beaches in Indonesia. The lagoon divides Glagah Beach area in two parts: a location which is planted by the beach plants and weeds, and a location of sand bars that border on the sea directly. The sand bars location can be crossed through a connector road which is located not far from the mouth of the river.

Another location is the fishing area. In this area, the visitors can join the local citizenries to fish. The slightly slope of the seashore area gives the abundant fishes. There’re also some seafood kiosks serve various menu.

Glagah Beach offers various beach tour facilities in addition to the beauty of its panorama. Beside motor cross area that is located on the sea front, the asphalted road connected Glagah Beach with the other beaches can be used as the arena for beach bicycling.

There is also an agro tourism location provides canoes, oar ducks and gethek rental. Another agro tourism facility is Kusumo Wanadri Plantations, where the visitors can observe cultivation process of various efficacious medicinal plants, such as dragon fruit and roselle flower. The shack in the Kusumo Wanadri plantation area provides a number of unique food and drink menus, such as the fresh dragon fruit juice which is known to have the capability of healing various diseases, and roselle flower syrup ice which is capable of quenching the thirst and neutralizing various kinds of toxic in the body.

Glagah Beach is located at Glagah Village, Temon, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The beach is around 40 km distance from Yogyakarta City, or 15 km from Wates, the capital of Kulon Progo regency.

Linggarjati Museum is one of the most important because of its historical value as being a place where an important incident was once held. The incident was called Linggarjati Agreement, as it took place at Linggarjati – a village located under Ciremai Mountain, between Kuningan and Cirebon City. This Agreement was a start of Indonesia’s diplomatic efforts for the nation independence.

Linggarjati Museum is a building to commemorate the conference and the Linggarjati Agreement between Indonesia and Netherlands Governments in 1946. The bulding was a non-living witness of an important incident in Indonesia’s historical journey. The conference resulted in agreement about Indonesia’s independence status. Linggarjati Agreement was the defacto recognition of the Republic of Indonesia by the Kingdom of The Netherlands and the right of self-determination of a people, after centuries of domination.

Linggarjati Museum is located in Linggarjati Village, Cilimus, Kuningan, West Java, Indonesia. The distance of this village is 17 km from Kuningan City and 25 km from Cirebon City. The building is old-fashioned and Indies-Netherlads architectural styled. This 800m2- wide building is standing on the 2,4 hectares area, surrounded by a beautiful garden. The fresh air from the Ciremai Mountain (3078 m) keeps entering through the open windows. The atmosphere of the place is quiet.

The interior of Linggarjati building consists of several rooms: guest room (was used for lobby and informal meeting), middle room (the main room where the Linggarjati Agreement took place), bedrooms used by Netherlands and Indonesia delegations, bathroom, and back room. The position of the chairs in the middle room was still unchanged. A single chair at the north-end was Lord Killearn’s seat (a British mediator), on the left and right side of the table was Indonesia and Netherlands delegations’s seats. The members of Indonesia delegations were Mohammad Roem, Susanto Tirtoprodjo, AK. Gani, and led by Prime Minister Sutan Sjahrir (Sjahrir III Cabinet). The Netherlands delegation members were Dr.Van Mook, Mr.Van Pool, Dr.F.De Boer, and led by Schermenhorn (General Comission). On the southside was the notulens’s table (the notulens were Ali Boediarjo, Amir Sjarifoedin, Dr.Soedarsono and Dr.J.Leimena. There are the Linggarjati Agreement diorama, chairs and table, and an original piano from the agreement period in the guest room. There’s a monument of Linggarjati Agreement on the building yard.

Not far from the museum, a natural tourism object completes the tourism of Linggarjati Museum. The place consists of shady parks facilitated by water pool and artificial lake with the rubber boats. The cottages were also provided for the visitors.

The location of this beach is at Bantul Regency, around 30 km distance from Yogyakarta City. It is believed that Parangtritis Beach has a mystic relation with Kraton Yogyakarta, Parangkusumo Beach and Merapi Mountain area. The citizenries believed that Parangtritis Beach belong to Ratu Kidul’s authority.

Parangtritis Beach has natural beauty of sea and sand dunes. There’re a lot of sand dunes that are called as “gumuk” by the local citizenries. The strong wind blows at certain seasons makes Parangtritis Beach is suitable place for the kite festival.

A number of tour experiences can be enjoyed at Parangtritis Beach. The seashore reveals a naturally charming open sea panorama, along with the splashing waves and the high canyons at the east side. The visitors can simply walk along the seashore to enjoy the panorama, or they can rent the horse-drawn buggies (bendi). The beach can also be cruised by riding the horses.

The visitors can also visit the Langse Cave to enjoy the challenging experience. They have to walk throughout 3 km distance to reach the cave. Before reaching the cave, they have to pass by a 400 meters high- and nearly 900 slope- canyon. At the path toward Langse Cave, another exotic beauty of Parangtritis can be seen. Rolls of big waves that reach the sunlit shore appear to be silvery. When the sky is reddening at the twilight, their colour turns into golden.

Beside the satisfaction of enjoying the landscape, the visitors can enjoy the different tour experience by visiting historical places around Parangtritis Beach, such as Syekh Bela Belu’s tomb. The tomb is laid on the road toward the beach. There’s staircase connecting the road with the hill where this sacred tomb is laid on.
