Glagah Beach offers complete natural beach tourism. It has not only an exotic beach panorama, but also a beautiful lagoon and provides unique agro tourism. The brownish sand beach spreads out along the shoreline. The open seashore, combined with the absent of coral hindrance made it free to look around every direction of this exotic landscape. There are several alternative locations to see the beach panorama. The sand bars location can be crossed through a connector road which is located not far from the mouth of the river.
Another location is the fishing area. In this area, the visitors can join the local citizenries to fish. The slightly slope of the seashore area gives the abundant fishes. There’re also some seafood kiosks serve various menu.
Glagah Beach offers various beach tour facilities in addition to the beauty of its panorama. Beside motor cross area that is located on the sea front, the asphalted road connected Glagah Beach with the other beaches can be used as the arena for beach bicycling.
There is also an agro tourism location provides canoes, oar ducks and gethek rental. Another agro tourism facility is Kusumo Wanadri Plantations, where the visitors can observe cultivation process of various efficacious medicinal plants, such as dragon fruit and roselle flower. The shack in the Kusumo Wanadri plantation area provides a number of unique food and drink menus, such as the fresh dragon fruit juice which is known to have the capability of healing various diseases, and roselle flower syrup ice which is capable of quenching the thirst and neutralizing various kinds of toxic in the body.
Glagah Beach is located at Glagah Village, Temon, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The beach is around 40 km distance from Yogyakarta City, or 15 km from Wates, the capital of Kulon Progo regency.
